Lift 1A – The historic portal to Aspen Mountain where the magic of skiing on Aspen Mountain began more than 60 years ago, and where the 1950 World Championships launched Aspen into the imagination of skiers around the world.
On this legacy site, a plan has been conceived by Gorsuch Haus, the City of Aspen, Lift One Lodge and the Aspen Skiing Co. to embrace the mountain and bring back the magic to this revered part of Aspen. This historic collaboration will relocate Lift 1A closer to town near the original location of Lift 1.
Gorsuch Haus – Traditions reimagined – an intimate ski lodge reminiscent of classic Alpine ski lodges, and a world-class restaurant and après-ski gathering spot overlooking the mountain, an atmospheric locale where visitors and locals can create memories and traditions for the next 60 years.
